ECI Download Application
It is recommended that you print these instructions prior to commencing the download and install process.
- To commence the download process click here.
A File Download dialog displays:
- Save the file to disk - default is desktop - the icon is as follows:
- Double-click the icon and select ‘Run’.
This will then install another shortcut icon on the desktop ‘ECI Downloader’.
- Double-click this icon to start the application which will allow you to download the ECIClientV5 application.
It downloads the application in multiple parts which are 500K each. This method allows you to cancel part way
if you wish and restart where you left off, or if the download times out, the download can be restarted from where
it left off.
Select ‘1. Choose destination folder’ and select the required directory where the Installer will be saved
(default is desktop).
- Select ‘2. Configure proxy’ and enter the details of your proxy if you have one. The default is ‘No’.
- Select ‘3. Download list of items’. This step retrieves a list of available downloads from the ECI Server, which is used in Step 4.
- Select ‘4. Select item to be downloaded’. You will see the list of items available to be selected and downloaded. Currently you are able to select either ECIClientV5 or Adobe Acrobat.
Select ECIClient_Version_5 and press ‘OK’.
- Select ‘5. Download selected item’. This may take some time, depending on the internet connection and
the size of the item to be downloaded. The Download Progress screen will display information about and the
progress of the ECIClientV5 download, and includes information such as the size of the file, the number of parts,
and which part it is currently downloading.
If this step fails at any stage, restart the process from 4 (double-clicking ‘ECI Downloader’ icon).
- Once the download is complete, press the ‘Close’ button to close the Download Progress window and then close
the ‘ECI Download Application’ window by selecting the ‘Exit Program’ button.
- Navigate to the destination directory, where you will find a directory called ‘ECIClient_Version_5’. Open this directory and double click the ECISetupV5.exe file to start the install process.
