Download and Install (Macintosh OS X Version)
Electronic Commerce Interface (ECI) Client software
for Macintosh
The
latest version of the ECI Client software which supports
Mac OS X is now available for download from this website.
You should check that your Mac meets the
minimum system requirements. The ECI Client software may not perform satisfactorily if
your Mac does not meet these specifications.
Before you start downloading the ECI Client software
setup file, we recommend that you print this web page and follow
the steps in Installation Instructions.
Note: If you have been using ECI
version 4.0.0, we recommend that before downloading and installing
version 5.0, you complete and send any forms that are in your In
Tray or Out Tray. Once sent, you should archive the forms from your
Sent Items Tray. You will be able to restore these forms into
version 5.0 of ECI.
What you need to have installed on your Mac
In order to use the ECI software, you need to
have the following software installed on your computer:
Installation Instructions
There are three steps to the installation process:
Downloading the ECI setup file from the Tax Office
To download the ECI Client software for Macintosh perform the following
steps:

Click on Download
ECI Client setup file. The Download Manager
window will appear, possibly behind the browser window, and the file
will be saved to the destination of your choice.

The Download Manager has a
progress bar indicating how long the download will take. The
default file name is eciclient.dmg.
Locate the file
eciclient.dmg on your computer and double click. Then drag the
ECI icon to the destination of your choice.
Note: If you have a
previous version of the ECI software installed it is
recommended that you complete and send any forms in your In
Tray or Out Tray. You should then archive
these forms from your Sent Items to enable
you to restore them into the current version.
At this point, the framework ECI Client
is now installed on your Mac. The first time you access a business
function, the ECI Client will download the required components from
the ECI Server. To do this now, follow these steps:

Launch the ECI Client software. To do this, double-click on the ECI Client
icon.

If you access the Internet through a proxy
server, click on the Settings tab on the navigation menu.
The Settings dialog box will appear; enter your proxy server
details in the Network tab, then press Save.

Establish your Internet connection now if
you are not currently connected.

Select business function you
wish to use
from the ECI navigation menu.

The Confirmation Message ECI-C903 message
is displayed. Click on the OK button to start the application
update process.

The Check for Updates is displayed. When the application update process is completed, the selected business
function screen will appear.
Uninstalling ECI Client software for Macintosh
Move the folder containing the ECI Client software to the Trash.
