Send/Receive Files and Messages

With the Superannuation business application, organisations can send the following information (in ATO acceptable formats):

  • Superannuation Assessment Variation Advice (AVA)
  • Superannuation Constitutionally Protected Funds - Member Exit Statement (CPF-MES)
  • Superannuation Lost Member Register (LMR)
  • Superannuation Payment Variation Advice (PVA)
  • Superannuation Reasonable Benefit Limits (RBL)
  • Secure text messages

And receive the following information:

  • Surcharge Provider Assessment Details (SPAD)
  • Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt of File (ACK)
  • SuperSeeker Portability forms (SSK)
  • Secure text messages

You can get information on the status of any file or message transmission at any time using Check Status/Receive. Whenever status information is requested, the ECI checks the ECI server to ensure the latest information is displayed. The ECI will not automatically notify status changes; you must request this information.

All files being sent to the ATO are automatically checked for compliance (validated) with the relevant ATO Electronic Reporting Specification (ERS) before transmission. You can check files as a separate procedure without connecting to the Internet. A log file is produced each time an invalid file is checked, listing errors found in the file. Only files that comply with the ATO ERS requirements can be transmitted to the ATO.
