BAS Service Provider (BSP) Client List Screen

The Client List facility shows all the clients for whom you are authorised to download and lodge documents. You can use this function to view, add or delete the records in your Client List directly to the ECI server. The Client List features a BSP note facility which is for your exclusive use. You can add a note specific to a client to suit your requirements and can update it at any time.

  1. With an internet session active lick the Client List item on the BAS Service Provider menu from the ECI menu bar, then click the View Client List button

    If you have not activated your AUSkey in the current work session, the Connect to ATO dialog will be displayed. You must activate your AUSkey before accessing the Client List function.

  2. The Client List is displayed containing the following:

    • Your BAS Service Provider's organisation name.
    • Your organisation's ABN and CAN.
    • A notation as to whether you are an authorised BSP. If the display field shows N it indicates you are not an authorised BSP and you should contact the ATO's Electronic Service Delivery team.
    • The Client List Table shows your clients under the headings:

      - Client ABN-CAN
      - Client Name,
      - BSP Note,
      - Date Created
      - Date Updated.

      The columns above default to equal width unless you have set preferred widths.

      No row is selected by default.

The Client List screen can be used for the functions of updating note and adding and deleting client records.

Updating BSP Client Note

  1. On the Client List screen select a row on the Client List table.
  2. Click the Update Note button on the Client List screen. The Update Client dialog is displayed with note available for update.

  3. Update the note then click the OK button.
  4. The ECI Client application progress meter displays while performing client note update.
  5. After the client note is updated successfully, the ECI Client application displays an information message which includes your client's ABN and CAN. You click OK on the information message dialog.

  6. The ECI Client application redisplays the Client List with the details of the new client note included.

    Note: If you click on the Cancel button before the update is completed the transaction will cease and the Client List will re display.

Adding BSP Client records

  1. On the Client List screen click the New button.
  2. The New Client dialog is displayed:

  3. Enter the ABN, and three digit suffix and an optional note if required and click the OK button.
    Please note: The three digit suffix is the GST branch number and should be 001 unless the entity being added is branched for GST reporting purposes.
  4. A progress meter is displayed while a request is sent to the ECI Server to link the client with your records.
  5. After the client is registered successfully, the ECI Client application displays an information message which includes your client's ABN and CAN.

  6. Click OK on the information message dialog.
  7. The ECI Client application redisplays the Client List window with the details of the new client displayed in the current sort order. The row selection is on the new client details.

    Note: If you click on the Cancel button before the registration of the new client is completed the transaction will cease and the Client List will re display.

Deleting BSP Client records

  1. On the Client List screen select a row on the Client List table.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. A confirmation message is displayed to ask you to confirm the deletion of the selected client.

  4. If you click the OK button the selected client is removed from the server database
